Jordan's Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami has included experienced Al-Waab striker Baha' Faisal in his squad for the upcoming training camp and international friendlies later this month.
Sellami named the striker among the players selected for the camp that will precede friendly matches against Nigeria and Costa Rica as part of Jordan's preparations for the 2026 Fifa World Cup.
Al-Waab confirmed Faisal's invitation in a post on social media on Wednesday, noting that he earned a national team recall after his outstanding performances this season across various tournaments.
The inclusion of Faisal comes as one of the expected new options for the squad, particularly after the injury suffered by Yazan Al-Naimat while representing Jordan during the 2025 Arab Cup.
The setback forced Sellami to explore alternative attacking options to strengthen his frontline ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
The 30-year-old last represented Jordan at the 2021 Arab Cup, where he suffered a serious injury against Morocco that sidelined him for two seasons.
Following his recovery, the striker revived his career with Al-Wehdat SC before later completing a move to Al-Waab last year.
Faisal, who captains Al-Waab, has 58 international caps to his name, during which he achieved 21 victories and scored 18 goals.
