Confirmed: Moses Ebiye joins new European club with 24 league titles after leaving Motherwell

Through official channels, Faroe Islands Premier League club Havnar Bóltfelag have announced the signing of Nigerian forward Moses Ebiye following his departure from Motherwell. 

Havnar Bóltfelag are statistically the most successful club in the Faroe Islands Premier League, with 24 league titles and 27 runners-up finishes, more than any other team in the island nation.

Ebiye has been without a club since the end of the 2024–25 season, following the expiry of his contract at Motherwell, where he made 39 appearances and scored seven goals.

The 28-year-old has signed a contract with Havnar Bóltfelag until 2027.

Ebiye wore the colours of Akwa United before moving to Norway, where he represented Lillestrøm, HamKam, Tromsø, and Aalesund, scoring a total of 19 goals in the Norwegian top flight.

During his time in Norway, he also registered 12 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances in the OBOS-ligaen.

He scored Motherwell's final goal of the 2024–25 season, coming off the bench to net the equaliser in a 1–1 draw against Ross County on May 18, 2025.
