Through a statement on their official website, English Premier League club Crystal Palace have announced that promising left-back of Nigerian parentage Tayo Adaramola has signed a new deal with the club.
The 2003-born defender has inked his first professional contract with The Eagles, few days after celebrating his seventeenth birthday.
Adaramola joined Crystal Palace at U12 level and was a key member of the squad that won the Under-15 Super Floodlit Cup in 2019.
He is provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth, Republic of Ireland having made his
competitive debut for their U17 team in a European Championship qualifier
against Andorra in November 2019.
"I just feel so happy. I’m just grateful for everyone who’s been with me throughout this journey and now the hard work continues," Adaramola said.
"The next step is to be around the first-team as much as possible and to do well in the league this season."
Adaramola, who is also comfortable playing as a left wing-back, has won two penalties in his seven appearances for Palace U18s in the new season.
