Dele Alli Proud To Make England Debut
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli was over the moon after making his competitive debut for The Three Lions in their 2 - 0 win over Estonia on Friday night.<br /><br />The Anglo - Nigerian is praying that England boss Roy Hodgson will give him more first - team opportunities in future matches ahead of the 2016 European Championship in France.<br /><br />“So honoured and proud to make my debut for my country last night at Wembley! Hopefully many more appearances to come 🙠, ” Dele Alli tweeted on Saturday morning.<br /><br />Alli had just three minutes of playing time against Estonia, having replaced Everton star Ross Barkley in the closing minutes.<br /><br />He was never officially invited to any of the national teams of Nigeria before earning a cap for England’s senior team.<br /><br />Photo Credit : Twitter.com <br />
