Major League Soccer&rsquo;s Disciplinary Committee has suspended Nigeria international Sunday Stephen for a rash challenge on Fanendo Adi during the league game between Real Salt Lake and Portland Timbers on Saturday. <br /><br />The two Nigerians went down after Adi went in for a tackle but the former Spain U20 international got up quickly after stepping on Adi&rsquo;s shin, leaving the Timbers star in pains.<br /><br />The incident occurred in the 42nd minute and Sunny was shown a yellow card by referee Fischer.<br /><br />After the DisCo reviewed the incident, the defensive midfielder has been banned from one game and also fined an undisclosed amount, writes the official website of the MLS.<br /><br />Thus, Sunday Stephen will not be available for selection when Real Salt Lake tackle Houston Dynamo on September 18.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br />
