Done Deal: Leicester City Beat Manchester United To The Signature Of Nigerian Defender
Former Premier League champions Leicester City have beaten Manchester United to the signature of promising English-born Nigerian defender Edward Elewa-Ikpakwu.
The England U16 international has completed his move to the Foxes ahead of the new season, penning a two-year scholarship that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2019.
Elewa-Ikpakwu fueled rumours he was set to depart Manchester City when he featured for Manchester United U17s in a friendly against Everton last December.
The 16-year-old started on Saturday afternoon as Leicester City U18s beat Liverpool 4-2 in their final pre-season game.
Nathanael Ogbeta, Tom Dele-Bashiru and his younger brother Fisayo are eligible to represent Manchester City U18s this season.
