Through official channels, Croatian First Football League club NK Istra have announced that they have struck a deal with rivals Rijeka over the signing of Theophilus Solomon.<br /><br />The agreement between the two clubs will see the Nigerian attacker remain on loan at the Green-Yellows until the end of the 2016-2017 season.<br /><br />Once touted as Nigeria&rsquo;s next big thing by the press in his homeland, due to his closeness to a Kaduna-based journalist, Solomon has failed to live up to his wonderkid tag and has enjoyed loaned spells at Pomorcu, Zadru and &scaron;ibeniku, without playing a competitive game for Rijeka.<br /><br />The 20-year-old was surprising called up to the Nigeria U23s squad in March, having failed tests with the U17 and U20 national teams. <br /><br />NK Istra have also completed the signing of Jamilu Collins on loan from Rijeka. <br /><br />Igho Kingsley
