Emenike Denied Hat-trick In First Start For West Ham As Moses Sparkles

Emmanuel Emenike netted twice in his first start for West Ham in their 5-1 rout of Blackburn Rovers in the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.<br /><br />Super Eagles creator Victor Moses equalized for the Claret and Blue visitors in the 26th minute after <span class="name">Ben Marshall had put the homers in front six minutes earlier.<br /><br />On 61 minutes, Fenerbahce loanee Emenike put the Hammers 3-1 up after a pass from </span>Kouyate, and Moses was involved in the build-up to the goal.<br /><br />Five minutes from time, the former Nigeria international beat the offside trap, showed great composure before firing home for West Ham&rsquo;s fourth goal.<br /><br />He was denied a hat-trick in stoppage time after the assistant referee adjudged him to be offside before his tap in from close range.&nbsp; The number 29 had hit the upright five minutes before that incident. <br /><br />Four players of Nigerian descent - Emenike, Moses, Ogbonna and Akpan- were named in the starting lineup of both teams and they all went the distance except Ogbonna , who subbed out in the 78th minute.<br /><br />Photo Credit : whufc.com<br />
