Ex-Golden Eaglets Star Aliyu To Hold Contract Talks With KuPS
<span class="_xJh">Nigeria youth international Abubakar Aliyu has revealed that he will hold contract talks with </span>Finnish <span class="_xJh">Veikkausliiga side KuPS next month, amid interest from clubs based in Israel, France and Finland. <br /><br />The central defender will walk away as a free agent if the </span><span class="_xJh">Kuopio-based team do not exercise the right to prolong his stay for an additional twelve months at the end of the 2016 season. <br /><br /></span><span class="_xJh">“Let us see how the season ends, I just want to focus on the remaining six games we are playing, one of the six is tomorrow, </span>”Abubakar Aliyu told <b>allnigeriasoccer.com</b>.<br /><br /><span class="_xJh">“Talks have not taken place yet, we agreed on when the season ends after the six games. </span>”<br /><br />Abubakar, 20, has played 23 out of a possible 27 games for KuPS in the Finnish top-flight this season, logging 1,772 minutes and has received two cautions. <br /><br />He is one of the four Nigerians on the payroll of KuPS, the others being Nigeria internationals Gbolahan Salami, Paul Onobi and Azubuike Egwuekwe. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br />
