Ex-Liverpool Defender Ihiekwe Offered New Tranmere Rovers Deal

Through official channels, Vanarama National League club Tranmere Rovers have informed that the Liverpool-born defender of Nigerian descent, Michael Ihiekwe, has been offered a new contract to remain at the Super White Army.<br /><br />The 23-year-old joined Rovers in 2014 from Wolverhampton Wanderers and has gone on to make over 80 appearances for the club. <br /><br />A product of the academy team of Liverpool, Michael Ihiekwe spent time on loan Cheltenham Town before his arrival at Tranmere Rovers.<br /><br />Meanwhile, strikers Tolani Omotola and Sam Ilesanmi have been offered their first professional contracts, the club announced on Friday.<br /><br />Michael Ihiekwe was selected to train with England C squad in September 2015.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley<br /><br />Photo Credit : tranmererovers.co.uk<br />
