Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has criticized Alex Iwobi for his performance during Everton's 2-0 loss to Manchester United in the quarterfinal of the Carabao Cup.
Bent is of the opinion that the Arsenal academy product was below par and his deliveries were not up to scratch.
"He’s tried Iwobi at full-back and I’ve said before, his final delivery’s not good enough," said Bent to Football Insider.
"He showed it again last night (v Manchester United) where he gets to certain areas and his final delivery’s just terrible. Whether he overhits a cross, whether it’s a pass, it’s awful."
Iwobi was accurate in 63 percent of his passes against Manchester United and only Richarlison (60 %), who didn't complete the game, performed worse than him in terms of passing accuracy of the outfield players that featured against the Red Devils.
