Exclusive : Portuguese Segunda Liga Top Scorer Nwankwo Bids Farewell To Gil Vicente
The prolific<b> </b>Gil Vicente striker Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo has declared that he will end his three-year association with the Portuguese Segunda Liga club at the end of this season.<br /><br />Nwankwo, who is the leading scorer in the Portuguese second-tier, has revealed that he will not be extending his contract which expires on June 30, though the club would love to prolong his stay.<br /><br /><span class="body1">“I will be leaving Gil Vicente, they know it is almost impossible for me to stay,</span>” Simeon Nwankwo told <b>allnigeriasoccer.com</b>.<br /><br /><span class="body1">“I have not bothered discussing a new contract because they know I</span><span class="body1">’m leaving. <br /><br /></span><span class="body1">“I can</span><span class="body1">’t say the teams that have made contact with me and my agent as I</span><span class="body1">’m not thinking about that now, I will look at it by the end of the season. </span>”<br /><br />In 41 appearances in the league this season, Simeon Nwankwo has netted 18 goals (5 assists).<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel<br />
