Five players of Nigerian descent are in contention to be offered new deals by Arsenal ahead of the 2016-2017 season.<br /><br />The Gunners youth-team expert Jeorge Bird is reporting that the Emirates outfit are set to make a decision on the promising Hale End Academy products to offer scholarship deals.<br /><br />The five Nigerian talents being considered include : Arthur Okonkwo, Joshua Dawodu, Xavier Amaechi, Folarin Balogun and James Olayinka.<br /><br />Okonkwo is a goalkeeper, Dawodu is a defender and the remaining three teenagers are midfielders. <br /><br />The scholarship deals will be activated on July 1, 2017.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : flickr.com<br /><br /><br />
