Former Nigeria star Victor Moses risks missing start of Kazakh PL, stranded in UAE

Former Nigeria international Victor Moses is in danger of missing the start of the Kazakh Premier League season.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner and Chelsea alum joined Kaisar in January 2026, signing a one-year contract that runs through the 2026 campaign, following his departure from Luton Town at the end of the 2024-2025 season.

According to Offside, Kaisar may be without their marquee signing for the first game of the season against FK Zhenys on Sunday, March 8,

The Nigerian is currently unable to join the team due to complications with his departure from United Arab Emirates amid the escalating situation in the Middle East.

Moses was involved in Kaisar's pre-season preparations in Turkey and United Arab Emirates, playing in several friendly matches.

The leadership of Kaisar is hoping that the experienced midfielder will join the team before their first competitive game of the new season.

The 35-year-old, a product of the Crystal Palace academy, has been allocated the number 11 jersey at Kaisar.

A Premier League winner with Chelsea in 2017, Moses enjoyed loan spells with Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan during his time at Stamford Bridge.
