Former Tottenham Hotspur forward Darren Bent would be disappointed to see Watford return to the Championship given the firepower they have in attack.
One explanation for Watford's poor position and inconsistency in the Premier League is their defensive problems having conceded 47 times and only Norwich City and Leeds United have shipped in more goals.
The ship was slightly steadied following the appointment of Roy Hodgson but it has not been really sustained with three losses in their last five matches.
Overall, Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis has been the star performance for Watford so far this season, but he appears to be lacking in confidence as his goals have dried up since the start of the year, with just one strike in eight games.
"For Watford, when they assigned Roy Hodgson I though perfect for what they needed because I don't think their problem is gong forward and scoring goals because they've got the players that can catch fire, the likes of Emmanuel Dennis Josh King, João Pedro, Ismaïla Sarr," Bent said on Premier League Productions.
"So I never thought it was the issue but defensively was the problem. When Roy went there I fancied watford to stay up straight before they even kicked a ball because I thought he'd make them defensively solid, little btit like what he did at Crystal Palace."
The Hornets are in nineteenth place at the moment
with nineteen points from 26 matches before the visit of the Gunners to
the Vicarage Road Stadium.
