Victor Osimhen reached a personal milestone as he recorded the first brace of assists of his professional career during Galatasaray's 5-1 victory over Eyüpspor in the Turkish Süper Lig.
The Nigerian forward played a decisive role as Galatasaray, leaders of the Süper Lig, hosted Eyüpspor in the 22nd week of the season.
Osimhen provided the assist for the opening goal in the 2nd minute, setting up Yunus Akgün to give Galatasaray an early advantage. It was a contribution that underlined his influence beyond goal-scoring.
Osimhen went on to register a second assist in the 48th minute, supplying the pass that allowed Mauro Icardi to score his second goal of the match.
Icardi later completed a hat-trick with goals in the 33rd, 48th, and 70th minutes as Galatasaray established firm control of the contest.
Eyüpspor managed a goal in the 71st minute through Metehan Altunbaş, but an own goal by Onguene in the 87th minute completed a 5–1 scoreline.
Osimhen’s two assists in the match marked the first time he has achieved such a feat in a league game across his professional career, which now spans 229 matches.
The achievement added a new statistical landmark to his time in the yellow-red jersey.
