Fulham Starlet Tayo Edun Delighted To Make England Squad For World Cup

Fulham defender Tayo Edun has vowed to repay manager Neil Dewsnip&rsquo;s confidence in him after making England U17s roster for the Fifa Under 17 World Cup which kicks off next weekend.<br /><br />The left - back was pleasantly surprised that he was one of the 21 players that traveled to Chile,&nbsp; as he was red - carded in his last two appearances for the young Lions prior to the announcement of the squad.<br /><br />&ldquo;I wasn&rsquo;t sure about the call-up because I had a bit of a rough time, getting sent off twice, so I&rsquo;m happy that the coach trusts me in such a big competition and I&rsquo;m pleased that he hasn&rsquo;t made any drastic changes and taken me out,&rdquo; Tayo Edun told fulhamfc.com.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m happy that he&rsquo;s trusted me because understandably he would have had a couple of doubts, but I&rsquo;m ready to go and show him that it&rsquo;s worth taking me. <br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve never been to South America before so it should be a good experience.&rdquo; <br /><br />Tayo Edun has recorded 4 appearances for Fulham Under 21s this season and was deployed in central midfield in each of those games.<br /><br />Photo Credit : fulhamfc.com<br />
