Victor Osimhen took part in a specialized training session as Galatasaray continued preparations for their 14th-week Trendyol Super League match against Fenerbahçe.
The session was held on Friday at the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities.
Osimhen participated in the first phase of training, which included ball warm-ups and 8v2 passing drills conducted in three groups.
He then moved to a tailored program on the field, working under the supervision of a physiotherapist and an athletic performance specialist.
The Nigerian striker had sustained a hamstring injury during the first half of his country’s penalty shootout defeat to the Democratic Republic of Congo in the African final of the 2026 World Cup qualifying playoffs.
The injury prevented him from playing in Galatasaray’s recent fixtures against Gençlerbirliği and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The session concluded with tactical work under the guidance of head coach Okan Buruk.
Galatasaray will continue their preparations with another training session scheduled for Saturday at the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities.
Osimhen’s return to training is also a boost for Eric Chelle, who is set to announce his provisional list for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for December in Morocco.
The former Napoli striker is expected to be the headline name in the squad.
