Galatasaray's title-clinching game: Osimhen wins MOTM despite setting three unwanted records

Victor Osimhen was named Man of the Match by football statistics website WhoScored.com, despite setting three unwanted records in Galatasaray's title-clinching game against Antalyaspor on Saturday evening

The Lions came from behind to secure a 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor, with the Nigeria international playing a decisive role in the comeback by scoring twice, including converting a penalty he had won.

With a rating of 8.04, Osimhen was the best rated player, ahead of Antalyaspor midfielder Soner Dikmen (7.76), who also found the net twice.

Even though he had a statistically poor game in terms of finishing, the former Napoli man was considered the best player on the pitch.

The Galatasaray number 45 was caught offside six times against Antalyaspor, the most by any player in a single game in the 2025-2026 season.

Of his nine shots, six were off target, the highest tally by any player in a single Super Lig fixture this season.

Osimhen also missed five big chances over the course of his 91 minutes on the pitch, more than any other player has recorded in a single game this term.

The 27-year-old, who has 22 goals and 8 assists this season, will not be involved in Galatasaray's final game of the campaign at Kasimpasa due to accumulated bookings.
