The race to finish as the highest goalscorer in the Turkish Super Lig is very close and won’t be decided until the final round of matches in the division. 

The Gol Kralı (Goal King) is awarded to the player with the highest number of goals in the Turkish top-flight. 

Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu is currently in first place in the scoring chart, but he is ahead by only one goal, so another player could still overtake him easily on the final day.

Onuachu's closest challenger is Basaksehir FK's Uzbekistan captain Eldor Shomurodov, who has 21 goals in 33 league appearances, while Fenerbahce's Anderson Talisca has scored 19 goals in 30 games.

The Nigeria international is currently going through a mini goal drought, having failed to find the net in his last four Super Lig matches since scoring against Galatasaray on April 4. 

The FC Ebedei graduate has previously won the Golden Boot in a top-10 European league, finishing as the leading scorer in the 2020–21 Belgian Jupiler Pro League after netting 33 goals for Racing Genk.

In addition to finishing as top scorer, he claimed the Belgian Professional Footballer of the Year award, the 2021 Belgian Golden Shoe and the Ebony Shoe during a memorable campaign.

Victor Osimhen, who finished as the Super Lig's Goal King last season and currently has 15 goals, has no chance of retaining the award as he is suspended for Galatasaray's final game of the campaign against Kasımpaşa.
