Glasgow Rangers have started preparations for the upcoming Scottish Premiership clash against Livingston, a day after recording a comfortable 2-0 win over Sparta Prague in the UEFA Europa League.
Leon Balogun did not participate in the meeting against the Czech side and his place in the starting lineup was handed to Calvin Bassey in manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst's first game in charge of the Light Blues.
There is no good news for Rangers and Nigeria fans concerning the fitness of Balogun, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst ruling him out of the trip to Livingston.
Joe Aribo and Bassey came through yesterday's game unscathed and both are at the disposal of the Dutch football tactician.
Providing a squad update at Friday's pre-match press conference, Giovanni van Bronckhorst told reporters : "We had no injuries yesterday, the players had the normal recovery today so I think we will have the same players we had yesterday for Sunday.
"Roofe and Balogun will not be ready to play, hopefully Roofe sooner than Balogun".
Balogun is believed to have suffered the injury during Rangers' 3-1 loss to Hibernian in the semifinal of the Premier Sports Cup last weekend.
