Goal Celebration Reminiscent Of Coutinho: History-Maker Musa Insists He Was Not Taunting Al Nassr Fans
Ahmed Musa has insisted that he was not taunting the fans as he
celebrated the first goal he scored for Al Nassr in yesterday's 5-0 rout
of Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.
The
Nigeria international went twelve league games without scoring before
ending his goal drought in the 38th minute of the encounter.
Immediately
after Musa scored, he put his fingers in his ears as if to suggest that
he is not bothered by the criticism of the fans, mimicking how
Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho celebrated his goal against Manchester
United on Tuesday.
It is a fact that Al
Nassr supporters were disappointed with Musa before the meeting with Al
Fateh as they felt he had not lived up to expectations in the last four
months after his 15 million euros move to the club from Leicester City,
one of the most expensive deals in the Middle East recently.
According to saudileague.com,
Musa expressed his happiness over Al Nassr's win, stressing that he did
not make fun of the fans of the team or send them a message after
scoring the goal.
The Super Eagles star entered into the history books on Thursday after scoring Al Nassr's 500th goal in the Saudi Pro League.
