Guardiola To Help Iheanacho Reach Highest Level; Striker Signs New Deal
With a statement published on their official website, Manchester City have announced that they have extended their association with Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho.<br /><br />The 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a two- year contract extension that will see him remain at the Etihad outfit until the summer of 2021. <br /><br />“Kelechi is a natural goal-scorer. I knew about him before, but I’ve been really impressed with him since I arrived, ” manager Pep Guardiola told City’s official website. <br /><br />“I like his personality, his attitude, his ability – we hope to help him reach the highest level and to realise his full potential.”<br /><br />Iheanacho scored 14 goals across all competitions for the first team of Man City in the 2015-2016 season. <br /><br />His goal on the final day of the season against Swansea City helped the Citizens qualify for the Champions League play-offs. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : mancity.com<br />
