Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed that Glasgow Rangers are looking into the contract situations of Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent ahead of the January transfer window.
Initial talks on a contract renewal were not productive at all, with Aribo making it clear that he is not interested in extending his contract which runs out on June 30, 2023.
Rangers are looking to tie down the Nigeria international to a new deal following his brilliant displays since the start of the season but must fend off interest from at least three Premier League clubs namely Watford, Brentford and Crystal Palace.
Speaking to reporters at Tuesday's press conference ahead of the Premiership clash versus St Johnstone, Giovanni van Bronckhorst said : "If you play really well of course you have interest in your players.
"I want to have my players perform really well, you know when they perform really well with a club like Rangers interest will come but of course we'll look into the contracts as well.
"As I said before they are two important parts of the team and I'm very positive about them, I think the club is also positive about the players so eventually when you're both happy you can sign a new deal but we have to see in the coming months how we progress with them."
Aribo has directly participated in 42 goals in 120 appearances for Rangers since his move from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2019.
