Southampton coach Ralph Hasenhuttl is tipping former Arsenal starlet Nathan Tella for a bright future.
Tella has received rave reviews after scoring four goals in the first half as Southampton B thrashed Leicester City 5-2 in the Premier League 2 last weekend.
Southampton have been impressed by the development of the Anglo-Nigerian since his arrival at the club from Arsenal in the summer of 2017 and he was rewarded with a new contract and a professional debut in 2020.
Tella was predominantly a winger during his Arsenal days and is also capable of being deployed as a playmaker and striker.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the trip to Arsenal, Hasenhuttl said : "We are very convinced about him.
"We need to think about what the best position is for him and it seems more and more that he seems more confident on the nine than on the 10, so let’s push him there and get the best out of him and we will have a lot of fun with him."
The 21-year-old will be hoping to be involved when the Saints face his boyhood club Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, December 16.
