Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has received the best possible praise from Watford boss Xisco Muñoz ahead of his side's Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove on Saturday evening.
The Hornets started the season in fine form by registering a 3-2 win over Aston Villa at Vicarage Road.
Though Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaïla Sarr got most of the plaudits for their goalscoring contributions, Xisco has underlined that Etebo was one of the shining lights in the win against Aston Villa.
The Spanish football tactician was impressed with the way Etebo controlled the midfield.
"He played very well. He was the balance, he was always in a very good position, always gave a very good chance for recovery and helped the other players," Xisco said to Watford's official website.
"He was very good because he understood perfectly what we need to give more in front.
"His game was a very clever game. He didn’t have a lot of time with the ball but he was excellent, it was what we wanted from him.
"He gave the team 100 per cent with full power in attack and defence."
Etebo joined Watford on a season-long loan last month with an option to buy included in the deal.
