Former Manchester United defensive midfielder Owen Hargreaves does not think Wilfred Ndidi is given enough credit despite his impact for Leicester City and has compared the Nigeria international to Fabinho who plays in a similar position and gets all the plaudits at Liverpool.
Ndidi was a late omission from the Leicester City line-up for their ongoing game against Chelsea after feeling discomfort in his knee few hours before the start of the game, and Hargreaves has stressed that the number 25 will be missed.
Using statistics to back up his argument, Hargreaves said in his pre-match analysis just before the start of the game shown live by the English Premier League broadcast partners SuperSport : "I think he has just been outstanding in this position, you look at what Fabinho has done for Liverpool, helping transform them.
"Ndidi's impact at Leicester - you just look at the win ratio, the goals against, the numbers are almost double or half - it's remarkable really, points per game.
"The impact of Ndidi is really outstanding and I think Brendan obviously not having him today in such a pivotal game, he's a huge loss for them."
Without Ndidi in the squad for Premier League matches this season, Leicester City have managed to win only once, against Sheffield United on matchday three, and lost against Southampton and Burnley last month.
