Manager Gernot Rohr has revealed that Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick does not interfere with the list of players called up for Super Eagles duty.
The former Bayern Munich defender was speaking during a celebratory dinner for Pinnick held at the Eko Hotels & Suites on Sunday night, an event attended by all the Super Eagles players with the exception of Alex Iwobi who was absent for reasons everyone is aware of.
The Nigerian football administrator was being celebrated for his election into the revered FIFA Executive Council.
Speaking to HIP TV, Rohr explained : "I'm working with him now since five years and there is complicity, there is confidence, trust and also for me it's important that he lets me work in my independence.
"I can choose my players, I can do my list and I appreciate also his loyalty".
Pinnick was elected president of the Nigeria Football Federation in September 2014 and was re-elected for a second four-year term in 2018.
