Sevilla forward Akor Adams has expressed his admiration for teammate Alexis Sanchez, describing the Chilean star's presence as a major boost for the squad.
Speaking to Sporty TV, Adams highlighted the value of sharing both the pitch and the dressing room with one of football’s most decorated figures.
Sanchez, who joined Sevilla as one of the club's notable acquisitions, brings extensive experience from an illustrious career spanning spells at Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan and Manchester United.
His arrival has provided younger players with an opportunity to learn firsthand from a veteran renowned for his technical ability, work ethic and longevity at the top level.
Responding to a question about what he has learned from playing alongside Sanchez, Adams emphasized how privileged he feels to be in close proximity to such a seasoned professional.
"I think for us is a privilege to have a player of his caliber and to spend every day more than six, seven hours every day with him in the same locker room and we sit side by side.
"So we get to speak a lot. we share experiences. He has more than I do. He has seen the game, all of it," Adams said.
The Nigerian forward explained that the learning process extends beyond match situations, with Sanchez offering guidance during training and casual interactions around the club facilities.
"So on the pitch we speak, in the dressing room, we speak and uh I've learned a lot as well.
"I have so much to learn from him because like you said, he's a veteran in the game, you know," he stated.
Adams made it clear that Sanchez’s impact is not limited to him alone; the entire squad benefits from the former Arsenal star.
"And for me it's positive that we have him around and for other players, I think as well," he added.
Akor Adams is among the names Eric Chelle is expected to include in his provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for December in Morocco.
