'He's called 'The Tank' for a reason' - Coventry midfielder lauds Onyeka's MOTM performance v West Brom

Coventry midfielder Jack Rudoni has described Frank Onyeka as a dominant force in midfield following his performance in the 2-0 win over West Brom on Saturday. 

The Nigeria International showcased an impressive performance which earned him the Man of the Match performance at the Hawthorns. 

Speaking after the game, Rudoni hailed his performance, highlighting his  his energy and physical presence in midfield throughout the contest.

"He's been excellent, looking at his last two performances. He got Man of the Match today,"  Rudoni said to BBC Radio CWR.

"He is called 'The Tank' for a reason. He got around that middle of the park and wins the battle so many times and frees me up as well."

The English midfielder also spoke about their growing partnership, noting that although Onyeka is calm off the pitch, he is aggressive and highly competitive during matches.

"I get along with him really well. That's my guy. He is just a chill guy but not chill on the pitch. He gets into people," he added. 

The former FC Midtjylland midfielder has made an impressive start to life at the CBS Arena, playing a key role as the Sky Blues secured back-to-back victories over Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion.

Ahead of the next clash against against Sheffield United, Onyeka will be aiming to maintain his strong form as Coventry City continue their push for promotion.
