Left-footed Nigerian centre-back Honest Ahnor is drawing attention from big English clubs ahead of the reopening of the transfer window, according to Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Signed from Genoa during the summer for €20 million, the Aversa-born defender has quickly made his mark at Atalanta.
Ahanor’s current market value is estimated at at least €40 million (around ₦67 billion in Nigerian currency).
Ahanor wasted no time breaking into the Nerazzurri's first team, amassing 702 minutes across ten matches in all competitions.
Notably, he started eight of those fixtures, featuring in high-profile matches against Marseille, Juventus, Lazio, AC Milan and Napoli.
With top English clubs now monitoring his progress, questions remain over whether Atalanta will be willing to part with one of Italian football's most exciting teenage prospects.
Ahanor is not the only Nigerian talent at Atalanta attracting European interest.
Former African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman has been linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The 17-year-old defender's contract with Atalanta runs until the conclusion of the 2027-2028 season, giving the Serie A side significant leverage in any potential negotiations.
