Fulham's Nigeria international Ola Aina is looking forward to a potential home debut in Saturday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage.
With Dutch defender Kenny Tete on the sidelines due to a calf complaint, Aina has made the right-back position his own, having started the last three games played by Fulham in all competitions - all of the matches away from Craven Cottage.
"It is going to be an exciting day for me, I wish the fans were there to be honest, unfortunately that can't happen," Aina said to Fulham's official website.
"I'm excited to get on that Craven Cottage pitch, it will be a good day."
Crystal Palace have not been at their best in the last couple of games but started the season well, beating Southampton before an impressive 3-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
However, Aina believes that the Eagles pose a threat to Fulham's ambition of securing their first league win of the season.
"I think Palace are a very good side especially on the counter attack, they've got exciting players, quick players, skillful players and it's a challenge that all of us should be looking forward to.
"If we work hard and we work how we've been working throughout the week and for our other games, I think we should be okay.
"We just need to get our heads down and do the job," he added.
Aina, 24, is spending the whole of the 2020-2021 season on loan at Fulham and an option to buy has been included in the deal.
