Iceland Captain : I Could Not Sleep For A Long Time After 1-1 Draw Vs Argentina
Iceland National Team captain Aron Einar Gunnarsson has confessed that he could not sleep after the Nordic country held Argentina to a 1-1 draw in their World Cup opener on Saturday, June 16.
Manchester City's Sergio Aguero opened the scoring for the two-time world champions in the 19th minute, only for Alfred Finnbogason to equalize from close range four minutes later.
Speaking to reporters, Gunnarsson said : '' I was able to sleep only at four o'clock in the morning after playing with Argentina, as the level of adrenaline in the blood was high for a long time.
''It happens when you play in such an incredible match. Now we are waiting for a very important game with Nigeria .
''If we focus on this match, but we can not achieve a positive result, then a draw with Argentina will not make any difference.''
Nigeria will face Iceland at the Volgograd Arena, Volgograd on June 22, then play Argentina in their last Group D fixture on June 26 in Saint Petersburg.
