Odion Ighalo has revealed that he feels closest to three Spanish-speaking players at Manchester United namely Juan Mata, David de Gea and Sergio Romero.
Having spent the majority of his career to date with Granada, Ighalo easily picked up the Spanish language which has come in handy for him in the Manchester United dressing room.
Ighalo has hit the ground running since his arrival in the winter transfer market, and his maiden goal for United against Club Brugge in the Europa United was assisted by his Spanish pal, Mata.
"The guys in the dressing room are very good guys. The first time I stepped my feet in that dressing room - wow.
"There are two or three players that took me and made me feel welcome and comfortable.
"After two or three days we started living like brothers, like I've been there for five years, laughing together and cracking jokes togher. Especially Juan Mata, De Gea and the other goalkeeper Romero, because they speak Spanish and I speak Spanish."
With the Premier League halted due to the coronavirus crisis, Ighalo's loan deal with Manchester United looks set to be extended beyond May 31.
