Glasgow Rangers returned to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership with a 4-2 win over Ross County at Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall on Sunday afternoon.
Manager Steven Gerrard handed starts to Super Eagles duo Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun, plus Calvin Bassey, with the last two playing as part of a back five and the number 17 in the middle of the park.
The Light Blues had a comfortable 2-0 lead inside twenty minutes thanks to goals from Joe Aribo and Connor Goldson.
The Super Eagles midfielder opened the scoring with a curling shot into the top corner after he was fed by Morelos in the 15th minute.
Speaking post-match, ex-Liverpool captain Gerrard praised the Nigerian for his brilliant strike and highlighted the attributes of the former Charlton Athletic star.
He told Rangers TV : "Yeah, I think that has been coming . Joe was a little bit frustrated through the week but that is what Joe Aribo is all about. Driving up to people, being aggressive, breaking the rules.
"It was a fantastic finish and we want him to keep doing that, we want him to keep scoring goals and has got the license in the midfield three when we name that three that he can go forward and be a bit more ambitious."
Aribo made way for Kemar Roofe in the 83rd minute, thirteen minutes after Watford loanee Joseph Humgbo came on for his debut for Ross County.
