Nigeria international Alex Iwobi has been nominated for Fulham’s February Goal of the Month award.
The Cottagers have revealed a shortlist of seven goals contending for the monthly accolade, with the in-form Super Eagles midfielder among the nominees.
Iwobi was on the scoresheet as Marco Silva’s side secured an impressive 3-1 victory at Sunderland, netting in the 85th minute to seal the win after the Black Cats had threatened a late comeback.
As Sunderland pressed for an equaliser, Fulham struck on the counter, with Wilson advancing before delivering the perfect pass to Iwobi, whose delicate finish secured the win.
It was exactly two years ago today, Thursday, March 5, that Iwobi claimed Fulham’s Goal of the Month for February 2024.
Competing with Iwobi for February's Goal of the Month are Raul Jimenez, Kevin, Jonah Kusi-Asare, Harrison Reed, Anna Grey and Macauley Zepa.
The Hale End Academy product has scored 18 Premier League goals for Fulham since joining from Everton in September 2023, already eclipsing more than half of his tally from his time at Arsenal and Everton.
