Super Eagles of Nigeria have begun assembling in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of their upcoming international friendly matches against Iran and Jordan, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Thirteen players have already arrived at the camp, with the rest of the squad expected late Tuesday night and early Wednesday.
Samuel Chukwueze and Maduka Okoye are on their way and should arrive within a few hours.
Among the early arrivals were experienced midfielders Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka, who bring leadership, creativity, and midfield stability to the team.
Defenders Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi also reported for duty, strengthening the defensive lineup.
Other players present in Antalya include Fisayo Bashiru, Paul Onuachu, Moses Simon, Francis Uzoho, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Adebayo Adeleye, alongside emerging talents Emmanuel Fernandez, Philip Otele, and Yira Sor, who are in contention to make their senior international debuts.
This mix of seasoned internationals and promising newcomers reflects Chelle’s strategy to balance experience with youth, ensuring depth across all positions.
Preparations in Antalya will focus on tactical cohesion, defensive organization, and attacking fluidity ahead of the two fixtures.
The team is camped at Bellis Deluxe Hotel, Antalya, with the first training session scheduled for Wednesday evening at 4pm local time (2pm in Nigeria).
The three-time Africa champions will kick off their friendlies against Iran on March 27, followed by a match against Jordan on March 31.
Both games are expected to serve as critical opportunities for the team to fine-tune strategies, test new combinations, and build momentum ahead of Nigeria’s competitive matches later in the year.
