Prolific Nigeria-eligible striker Ruben Shakpoke has taken to social media to announce his departure from demoted Premier League club Norwich City.
Ruben has a famous dad, Jero Shakpoke, who was the Super Eagles first choice right-back leading up to the 1998 World Cup, but the defender missed out on the tournament in France after suffering a serious injury in a pre-World Cup friendly against the Netherlands.
Writing on Instagram, Ruben Shakpoke stated : "5 years at @norwichcityfc has to come to an end. Huge Thankyou goes out to all the staff and coaches that supported me over the years. Wishing everyone at Norwich the best in the future.
Thankyou & God bless🙌ðŸ¾".
Shakpoke departs Norwich City after one appearance for the Canaries in the U18 Premier League and also represented the age group in friendly matches.
