Former England U20 international of Nigerian descent, Tim Iroegbunam, is attracting interest from the Serie A, with just a week remaining in the transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Lazio have submitted an offer of up to £15 million (approximately ₦29 billion in Nigerian currency) for the Everton midfielder.
The Biancoceleste are in the market for a central midfielder following the departure of former Arsenal man Matteo Guendouzi, who joined Turkish giants Fenerbahce earlier this month, with Iroegbunam identified as their top target.
However, Lazio may be forced to explore alternative options, as Everton are not planning to part ways with the English-Nigerian youngster during the January transfer window.
Iroegbunam has risen in David Moyes’ midfield pecking order in recent weeks, benefiting from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s hamstring injury and the absence of Senegal international and 2025 Africa Cup of Nations winner Idrissa Gana Gueye, who was away on international duty.
The 22-year-old has started five of Everton’s most recent Premier League matches, missing only the trip to his former club due to a groin injury.
In addition to Lazio, several Premier League and Serie A clubs are monitoring Iroegbunam, who is under contract with Everton until June 30, 2027.
