Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that talented Nigerian midfielder Adam Yakubu is drawing interest from several European clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
Yakubu was one of the most exciting teenagers in the Nigeria Premier Football League before sealing a transfer to AS Trencin in the summer of 2024.
He has delivered a series of standout performances for the two-time Slovak champions, earning inclusion in the Team of the Week on two occasions this season.
His form has sparked concrete interest across Europe, with Belgian Jupiler Pro League side KAA Gent and Championship clubs Leicester City and Watford exploring the possibility of securing his signature ahead of the winter window.
The 20-year-old has been praised for his combative style, relentless energy and ability to dictate play from central midfield.
So far this season, Yakubu has started 14 of AS Trenčín’s 16 matches in the Nike Liga, underlining his importance to the side.
KAA Gent enjoy a good relationship with AS Trenčín, having previously signed Nigeria internationals Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu, as well as Philip Azango and Reuben Yem, from the Slovak outfit.
Yakubu turned out for Nigerian clubs Plateau United, Akwa United and Adamawa United before his transfer to Slovakia.
