Moses Simon has vowed that the Super Eagles will not be wasteful when they tackle Libya in a crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this Saturday.
The Levante summer signing is back in the Nigeria fold after his injury troubles that saw Crotone's Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo take his place in the 2018 World Cup squad and omitted from the team that thrashed Seychelles on match day two of the AFCON qualifiers.
The Super Eagles have not featured in Confederation of African Football's flagship tournament since they won it for the third time in South Africa in 2013 and Simon says they are motivated to qualify for next year's edition.
''We all want to be part of next year's Africa Cup of Nations,'' Simon said in a statement published by the Nigerian Federation.
''We will take our chances in both games and give our best.
''We urge our fans to wear green and white and fill up the stadium on match day.''
The Super Eagles are expected to hold their first training session on Tuesday under the guidance of manager Gernot Rohr.
