Liverpool winger Bobby Adekanye was spotted in the stands on Wednesday evening watching the final of the Coppa Italia between Lazio and Atalanta, fueling rumors of a move to the Biancocelesti.
The Netherlands U20 international reconfirmed yesterday that there was no going back on his decision to quit Liverpool when his contract expires on June 30.
Adekanye has reportedly agreed a four-year contract with Lazio and his presence at the Stadio Olimpico indicates that a transfer is imminent.
The 20-year-old has been playing for Liverpool
since the summer of 2015 but wants to move on to pastures new for
sporting reasons as he has not been guaranteed first-team opportunities.
He opted not to pen a
fresh three-year deal with Liverpool after he was left out of Jurgen
Klopp’s first team pre-season tour of the United States
Adekanye previously played for the youth academies of Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona and PSV before his move to Anfield.
