Manchester City are targeting a summer swoop for Austria national-teamer of Nigerian ancestry David Alaba.<br /><br />According to the electronic edition of <i>The Sun,</i> the Citizens coach Pep Guardiola is hoping Bayern Munich will agree to do business if a fee of 40 million pounds is paid.<br /><br />The Spanish manager has tutored Alaba before, during the three years he spent at the German champions, so it would be a reunion of sorts if the transfer of the defender materializes. <br /><br />The highly-rated wing-back has been linked with possible moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona in the past. <br /><br />Alaba is under contract at Bayern Munich until the summer of 2021.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br /><br />
