Manchester United U23 coach Neil Wood has revealed that he has no worries about Shola Shoretire and Hannibal Mejbri's promotion to the first team training bubble.
Few days after inking his first professional contract, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær confirmed that the Anglo-Nigerian striker is likely to stay with the first team for the remainder of the season.
However, Shoretire has to travel by himself and use a different dressing room when he is called up to feature for the U23 team as he is part of the senior bubble.
The 17-year-old has caught the eye in the Premier League 2 this term, scoring 5 goals and setting up three others in his last ten matches in the division.
On Shoretire and Mejbri training with the first team, Wood was quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News : "I think they still want to play! So if they are not playing with the first-team then they are the type of characters asking me 'can we play?'
"So that's not so much of a problem at the minute because they are so eager to do well and so eager to play. I think they are just going with the first-team to learn, to make an impact if they can and to continue their development.
"It is a little bit different to training with the U23s everyday, so hopefully I would like to say I don't want to see them come back to us, like Brandon when he went up there and a few of the others.
"We're happy if they come back and continue playing for us if they are not involved in the first-team squad - it is important for them to keep playing football."
Shoretire played the entirety of Manchester United's 3-0 rout of Arsenal in the Premier League 2 on Friday night and got on the scoresheet in the closing minutes.
