Morocco on high alert: Atlas Lions coach analysing Super Eagles through advanced video technology

According to Moroccan newspaper AlMountakhab, Atlas Lions manager Walid Regragui and his assistants have placed the Super Eagles under the microscope as preparations intensify ahead of their decisive Africa Cup of Nations clash.

The Super Eagles sealed their place in the semifinals of the Afcon following a 2-0 win over Algeria with Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams getting on the scoresheet, while the hosts defeated the Indomitable Lions by the same scoreline.

At the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, the Moroccan national team’s technical staff led Regragui are operating on high alert, meticulously analysing the Nigerian national team’s performances through advanced video technology.

The analytical unit is working tirelessly to provide Regragui and his assistants, Rachid Benmahmoud and Bouhazama, with detailed tactical insights, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Nigeria’s playing patterns, strengths and weaknesses.

Regragui is determined to leave nothing to chance as he seeks an in-depth assessment of the Super Eagles' squad before the highly anticipated encounter at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday.

Morocco have been impressive both defensively and offensively at the ongoing Afcon, scoring nine goals while keeping four clean sheets, while the Super Eagles are the highest-scoring side with fourteen goals and have recorded back-to-back clean sheets in the knockout rounds.

Real Madrid attacker Brahim Díaz leads the scoring chart with five goals, one more than Nigeria’s marquee striker, Victor Osimhen.
