Musa trains with Manchester United first team in Dublin ahead of PL clash against Leeds

Promising Nigerian striker Victor Musa was a surprise inclusion in Manchester United’s travelling squad to Dublin, where the Red Devils are holding an intensive training camp ahead of their upcoming Premier League fixture against Leeds United.

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick selected six forwards in the 25-man group, including Victor Musa, Matheus Cunha, Joshua Zirkzee, Amad, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.

Cap-tied Denmark international Patrick Dorgu is the other player with a Nigerian background named in the travelling party.

The Reds are in the Republic of Ireland for a four-day stay, offering a valuable opportunity to regroup and prepare ahead of the final seven Premier League fixtures of the season.

Musa has yet to receive a call-up for an official match since joining Manchester United in the summer of 2021.

This season, he has represented United's teams in the Premier League 2, National League Cup, EFL Trophy and Premier League International Cup, scoring three goals in 13 all-competition appearances.

Born in Tudela, he is eligible to represent Nigeria, England and Spain, and has youth team caps for the Young Lions and La Rojita.

Musa turned out for the youth teams of Lourdes and Bradford City before transferring to Manchester United.
