New Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has been running the rule over versatile Nigeria-eligible center-back Tobi Omole during the third international break of the 2021-2022 season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
In theory, the Arsenal-reared defender can be regarded as a first teamer as he was included in Tottenham Hotspur's 22-man Premier League squad as well as the Europa Conference League squad.
But that is not the case in practice as the Anglo-Nigerian youngster has yet to make his senior debut for the north London club.
The closest he came to doing so was when he was a reserve option for Europa Conference League matches against Stade Rennais and NS Mura, plus the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace during the period Nuno Espírito Santo was in charge.
It is confirmed that Conte monitored Omole at close quarters during Thursday's training session at Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre in Enfield (as pictured).
Predominantly a central defender, Omole can also be utilized as a defensive midfielder and left fullback.
In the current season, the 21-year-old has recorded eleven appearances for Tottenham Hotspur's development squad, including nine in the Premier League 2.
Spurs will host Leeds United in their first game after the international break on November 21.
