NFF: Super Eagles Still Owed Bonuses For Zambia & Algeria Wins
The Nigeria Football Federation have acknowledged that they are owing
the Super Eagles players and officials their bonuses for two World Cup
qualifying fixtures against Zambia and Algeria.

NFF general
secretary Mohammed Sanusi admitted that the Federation are facing
economic challenges and hope the situation improves, so they can
liquidate the outstanding debts.

“As I speak with you, we are
still owing the Super Eagles for the matches against Zambia and Algeria,
but the memos have gone to government and are being looked at,” Sanusi
said while addressing the Super Falcons in Abuja on Tuesday.

“We
must commend the Hon. Minister (Solomon Dalung). He has been
energetically pushing the cases of the various national teams. We did
the memo for the Women Africa Cup of Nations in October and it is being
processed as we speak.”

The Super Eagles, who are top of their
qualifying group, beat Zambia 2-1 in Ndola in October before a 3-1 win
over the Desert Foxes in Uyo last month.

Igho Kingsley
