Promising striker with a Nigerian background Shola Shoretire could be in contention to make his European debut for Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Red Devils have submitted an updated squad list to Europe's football governing body UEFA ahead of their round of 32 Europa League clash against Real Sociedad and Shoretire, fresh from signing his first professional contract, has been added to the roster.
The England youth international, who celebrated his seventeenth birthday this month, has been included on the List B.
A player may be registered on List B if he is born on, or after, 1 January 1999 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday (players aged 16 may be submitted if they have been registered with the club for the previous two years).
Shoretire has been training with Manchester United's first team since last week ahead of a possible debut for his boyhood club, whom he joined at the age of nine.
The Anglo-Nigerian wonderkid will play with the number 74 on his back if he makes his professional debut against Real Sociedad on Thursday, February 18.
Shoretire is the youngest Manchester United player to have featured in the UEFA Youth League, making his debut at 14 years, 10 months and 10 days against Valencia in December 2018.
