The Nigeria Football Federation have announced the revised list for the upcoming international friendly against Cameroon on June 4.
Of the 31 players named on the provisional roster, nine players will not be traveling to Austria for the friendly.
The players dropped for undisclosed reasons are goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Heartland FC), defenders Kenneth Omeruo (CD Leganes), Kevin Akpoguma (Hoffenheim), Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto, Portugal) and Semi Ajayi (West Bromwich Albion), midfielder Joseph Aribo (Glasgow Rangers), strikers Sadiq Umar (Almeria), Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal) and Henry Onyekuru (Galatasaray).
It is beleived that Spanish-based duo Chukwueze and Omeruo have been omitted from the roster due to concerns about their fitness; the winger and striker were not involved in the last three games played by their clubs in the league.
Two fresh players in the shape of FC Midtjylland midfielder Frank Onyeka and Galatasaray center-back Valentine Ozornwafor have been added to the group, bringing the total number of players invited to twenty-four.
Three goalkeepers, six defenders, five midfielders and ten strikers have been selected by manager Gernot Rohr.
Three-time African champions Nigeria will battle 2021 AFCON hosts Cameroon at the Stadion Wiener Neustadt in Austria, starting from 2030 hours next Friday.
